The general result is a compacted lump of powder and larger chunks.
Due to the design of conventional tissue pulverizers, this mixture can not be rearranged and crushed again to
obtain a uniform powder.

Fine, uniform powder
The Cellcrusher design allows for rearrangement and recrushing of the sample, leading to more effective cell disruption.

Curved surfaces for fast cleaning
The Cellcrusher is cleaned cold and dry, using the recovery spoon wrapped in tissue paper. This avoids the tedious task of warming

and then washing an extremely cold metal
object in water. Cold cleaning is not possible with a conventional tissue pulverizer, due to right-angled surfaces and narrow tubes.
