Some sample types (eg. skin, seeds) are not fully disrupted by impact pulverization with the Cellcrusher. This can be accomplished by secondary grinding with the drill-bit accessory. The accessory can be used with any variable speed drill or electric screwdriver capable of holding a 9mm bit. Fine glass beads (0.5mm) are the recommended abrasive. The drill-bit is also useful in the disruption of yeast and fungus. When used for this purpose, the Cellcrusher can process up to 10g of cells at a time.
